Simbongile Nyangintsimbi is a dedicated and results-driven Quantitative Analyst with a high level of organisation, efficiency under pressure and love for tackling complex problems. Holding a BSc degree in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics from the University of Pretoria, she is currently serving as an Assistant Fund Manager, Quantitative & ESG Analyst at Cartesian Capital. Her role entails trade execution as well as portfolio construction and rebalancing. In her capacity as an Analyst, she is involved with building and maintaining investment models, conducting macro-economic research and analysis, generating investment ideas, ESG analysis & reporting as well as sharing insights and market commentary on TV and radio. Previously, Simbongile served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Cartesian Capital, where she coordinated and managed the CEO’s schedule, handled administrative functions, and facilitated research and fund analysis activities.
I enjoy the intellectual challenge and creativity required in analysing and modelling data to inform investment decisions. There’s a unique satisfaction in knowing that my work directly contributes to making smart investment decisions for our clients.
